Nov 04, 2009 07:56 pm Is my steinberg dongle the same as an ilok? eg, i wanna check out line 6 pod farm and i can do a 15 day trial if i have an ilok. |

Nov 05, 2009 12:01 am Sorry Deon, not the same. An ILok has to be a registered USB key from Digi. It needs that stupid little smart key that plugs into it, to prove that your a registered Digi user. But, they are very cheap from Digi. And it's free to register on Digi's web site. |

Nov 05, 2009 03:14 am yeah man, just bought one, 70 bucks aud. can get em from your way for 36 bucks but then they slug you 32 odd for postage. this stuff will send me broke. gonna buy pod farm once i get the key. so cheers Rob, spewing i cant use the steiny key. ya gotta be very careful what you read and take as gospel online, there's a few forums saying you can use the steiny key as an ilok key. not so, dont wanna find that out the hard way i dont think. |

Nov 05, 2009 11:35 pm Nope, there is a big difference between the iLock and the Steinberg Dongle from hell. The old school dongle is pretty much crap now. iLock is the thing of the future. |
