Nov 04, 2009 08:28 pm man they sound fine, so what is it you want to be more clear? could try some reverb with more top end on it and a tad more reverb time. but cut the tail off so it doesnt drag on too much. |

Nov 04, 2009 09:01 pm the first one sounds like it has more top end on it around 10 to 12k sounds like it has a touch of delay on it as well, not much though, maybe about 30 to 35 .ms of delay. sounds like your vox might need a bit more compression also. seriously though, youre not far off the original. just a few tweaks here and there and you should be good. |

Nov 04, 2009 09:24 pm compression wise you'll have to do some working out there yourself as there are alot of different things going on that i wouldnt know about. basicly you wanna compress as much as you can with vocals, without squashing the life outta them. you also dont want to hear any fluctuations in volume. best way to do that is to have a listen to the vocals without any music behind them, from start to finish and make sure all is ok. i dont really do midi music, so im not real sure about compressing the drum tracks or not. its hard to say, if the samples sound weak then try compression. the ratio's etc are up to you. for this style of music though the drum samples are probably ok. |

Nov 04, 2009 09:31 pm yep, they are definatly getting better for sure. try rolling off just a little of the bass freq on the vocals, around 20 to 40hz. main thing with vox is not to muck around a hell of alot with eq's or it wont sound natural. if you scoop out too much mids itll sound thin. |
