I like "mix 105" the best. I am on a work PC so can't comment on the mix really, I can hear everything though.

Mix 110 sounds good, a bit dry and could use some reverb. The lead guitar that appears now and then could come up a bit in the mix. And the overall level is very quiet. The tune sounded good though. 105 was the same, very quiet mix and needs to come up with the overall level.

I liked the guitar tones in both tunes. The lead guitar in 105 is plenty loud so no worries there.

I am guessing you are using a drum machine or drum program. You could do a little work there to make them feel a bit more realistic by working out the velocity on some of the hits and or mixing it up a little bit. Making some hits just a bit off.

Are you using a machine or a program? If you using a drum program then it is pretty simple to go in and make it feel a bit more natural.

I like "mix 110" the best, but that's not saying anything against "mix 105". ;-) The only thing I noticed is that the lead guitar needs more presence. Like the word states: it should lead. I also would thicken the drum some, but that may just be me.

Very nice songs though.

Thanks a lot guys.

Noize, I use Beatcraft program. Used some reverb and EQ on each drum. what do you mean making some hits a bit off ? :)

Will try to work on them more...

rhinokio, no plans for vocals, i'm crappy singer :)

By the way, my master meter in a mixer shows peak level of abt -3 on each mix, I guess I can't rise levels in any tracks much it will cause distortion, maybe I shoud compress final mix? any ideas?

Thanks!

compress the final mix to get rid of any crazy peaks, then you can turn it up a bit.

use a limiter to get it as loud as you want and set it to not go over say -3dB.

Nice playing on the lead guitar parts.

(concerning mix 110)As a drummer, one thing that stands out is the EQ for the kick drum. The bottom end sounds really nice, but, especially it being programed drums, there is too much "click". Try cutting some in the neighborhood of 5k. The "click" is good to keep the kick drum in the mix, but its just a little much in my opinion.

Zenka, by a bit off I mean you should try and program the drum hits so they are not so machine like. By that I mean if your using a canned midi drum pattern, each hit is exactly on the beat and doesn't sound natural like a real drummer. The program should have a feature called swing or something like that and it will help make it feel a bit more natural.

Also making different hits come in at a slightly different velocity will also help make it sound more natural.

Sometimes the feature is called "humanizing".
