This may be a pretty stupid question.....

I'm about to buy an Ibanez AW40-ECE online (It saves me nearly £70 on my local guitar store! Here's a piccy:

) I want to get a hard case for it too. I'd like the guitar to fit snugly in the case so it doesn't move around while i'm carrying it. Its a 6 string drednought style with a cutaway.... Would any drednought style guitar case fit!?

Thanks in advance!

I think that most of them are pretty close. If a case isn't made for one specific guitar, they more than likely make it fit the largest common size. I think they usually try to make those cases accomodate the widest variety of guitars as possible. No guarantees, but it'll probably fit.

See what their return policy is and make sure that you'll be allowed to return it if it doesn't fit your guitar.

Yep, as Tadpui stated. Most cases that are not built for a specific guitar are fairly generic in size. And Dreadnought are fairly similar for the most part with some variance in body size from maker to maker. So yes, it will fit but maybe not as snug as you would like. I simply purchase some firm foam that can but cut to fill in any gaps that need be.
