This movie showcases some beautiful, amazing aerial video of our planet. It comes with a message that humans are altering the earth with our choices and consumption. However, I think most of the message is on point. That being said, it's worth watching just for the visuals alone (especially the first hour or so... after that it gets a bit tedious).
I highly encourage everyone to give this film a moment or two and get sucked into it's awesome sights. Also, if you can, I recommend going full screen. I think it will be available on youtube until mid august.
Here's the trailer...
You can get the full movie from the trailer.

Jul 15, 2009 12:00 pm It was slow here at work, so I was able to watch the whole thing. Really wel put together film, and as you Coolo pointed out, beautiful aerial photography. Those I-Max cameras ROCK!
Agreed... the message is on point, and well executed throughout this film.
Thanks for posting its link... it really made my day! : )
One thing though... Do you think that the woman vocalist that is singing throughout the score used Autotune? lol

Jul 17, 2009 12:39 am Hey, glad you guys liked it.
I don't know what to make of your autotune statement...
I was worried folks would talk it down for some reason...
Edit:
Dang, it looks like they've removed the full version of the movie. That's too bad...

Jul 17, 2009 08:07 am Yeah, I was just saying that as a bit of a joke... no autotune... just tallent on that voice. Amazing!
Bummer that they took down the full version. I wanted to show someone last night, and noticed. Glad I was able to see it while it was up, though.

Jul 18, 2009 04:36 pm I watch discovery and those type channels when I do watch the boob tube. And there are a many flicks like that. Although that in I-Max should be very cool indeed. I would go watch that for sure.

Jul 24, 2009 09:42 pm Yep, the boyz and I sat through each episode without moving. And Ray has watched it over and over and over again.
Jul 24, 2009 10:53 pm i was just outside doing a strange earth-related thing. i was looking for the ISS toolbag, the bag of tools an astronaut dropped last novemeber. it wasn't dark enough to see, but i did see the space station (and pointed it out a little too enthusiastically to some dude)
the toolbag is hilarious

Jul 26, 2009 04:13 pm Glad you brought that up forty. We go down south a bit were the night sky is very visible and there is a group of amateur's down there that bring out their big rigs with PC driven guides and the whole bit. I"ll have to ask one of them to try and track it down for something different. Although there is never a lock of things they focus in on to keep the boys interested.
