I had no idea they discontinued the unit i am currently using, but i dont really get wats with the new model. From wat i read here its exactly the same except for packaging Amp Farm instead of Gearbox, which i dont know, i never feel like a software change merits the purchase of a whole new unit (not that i feel obligated to purchase a new unit)
When i read the name of the unit i thought they would have actualy POD functions built into it, like have a POD section to the keyboard.
I really like my unit but i dont really get this reincarnation

Jul 10, 2009 07:38 am I guess, though I didn't read it all, I don't see what's that new, the KB37 had all sorts of modeling and such too...maybe I should read the whole article.
My old school KB37 handles keys, guitar, bass and vocals pretty darn well...

Jul 10, 2009 10:46 am my thoughts exactly, i read the article and even checked out the full product presentation on their website and i dont see anything new except the switch over to POD Farm.
its all good if they wanna rename it and wat not, i hope they dont stop making upgrades for my unit and require i buy POD Farm, that would be bad

Jul 10, 2009 10:05 pm We will get a free upgrade to POD Farm. I got word of that through the grapevine. Any of us with the Toneport line will eventually get it when they stop upgrading Gearbox.
As for the POD Studiio KB37. Only difference is it ships with POD Farm and the color is changed. It is identical in every way shape and form.
