Okay I just bought myself a new MOTU 8pre and it ran fine playing itunes through the old drivers on the CD it came with. But as soon as I opened my Logic pro 8 there would be no playback and program crashes everytime I assigned it as my new "coreaudio". So I did what everyone else did and installed the new drivers (I think there was about 20 of them and I downloaded the ones off of MOTU and was very careful of what I was choosing). But still now i cant open up quicktime to play a movie or even assign it as a soundcard or logic even taking a look at it without them not responding.
Someone please help!
My system:
Model Name: iMac
Model Identifier: iMac4,1
Processor Name: Intel Core Duo
Processor Speed: 1.83 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 2 MB
Memory: 1 GB
Bus Speed: 667 MHz
OS X 10.5.7
I have Firmware 1.03 on the MOTU
and drivers 1.4.9.

Jun 26, 2009 04:36 pm Alot of problems online regarding the 10.5.7 updates. Being that you own an Imac I assume you cannot add a dedicated firewire card for the motu to use? I mention this as my interface is much more stable after adding a dedicated USB2 card that only it plugs into.
