Hey, my dad gave me this old mixer (Behringer MX2642a), and I don't have any experience with mixers. I'd like to know if there's a way to connect this to my computer, and how to do it. I tried searching other guides but I didn't really get it :p I'm total noob with these things so.

Also, if you could tell me about speaker connections to this specific mixer.

And yes, i've read the manual, didn't really enlighten me :<

hey man, welcome to HRC. I'd be glad to help ya get set up man, but I'm going to need some basic info, such as what type of soundcard are you using? What speakers, etc.

Basically, what you're going to do is run your outputs of the board into the inputs on your soundcard, and the speakers out of the soundcard or looped back to the mixer for more control. But yeah, first things first, whats your gear? If you could take the time to fill out your gear profile that would help. Look at mine for a basic idea of what to post.

my soundcard is Soundblaster X-Fi Xtremegamer. Speakers are two JBL EON 1500's, and that's much of the gear I have atm :P

alright. If no one gets to this before I get back from breakfast (and assuming my roomate doesn't unplug me so he can get online), I will try to help you get a set up going.

Where do you want the mixer in your chain, Pre PC or post PC...and, well, why do you want it at all? What's your goal here?

erm, well, for example to listen music from the speakers through the mixer.

You really don't even need the mixer then, but you do need an amp, run the line out of your sound card into the amp, the amp to the speakers.

I think that those EONs he's working with are powered, Deebs.
