Hi, i'm new....
I have a Crown XS500 power amp.
Stereo 2 ohm 750 watts
Stereo 4 ohm 500w
Stereo 8 ohms 400W

I'm looking for 2 passive speakers to be used for vocals and a little kick. We have a small party in a basement and I need to get something rollin....
Maybe 50 people, 100 tops. maybe 20'x30' blast area?

It is semi loud...not easy listening but not cranked Marshall either.

If your looking to put a little kick in there, then you should be looking at something that has a 15" speaker in it.

What price range are you looking for?

This is in your price range.

Your amp is not that far off on the specs for this box.

I just feel since you want a little kick in there, that the double 15" will give you the punch that you need.

Just remember, you need to get the horn above your audiences heads. So, your going to need a box to put them on.

edit: Doh! AHH 2 of these...Vocals are our main concern. 15s are OK for that?

excuse my ignorance but ... just one cab?
Where would you place it relative to the band?

Yeah 15" are great for vocals.

They are $249.00 for one. You said that is the price that you are looking for per box.

So, you get two.

If 50hz 60 will kill ya.
