I have been listening to him since he was in The Birthday Party starting around 1973. The with the Bad Seeds once that happened. Still catch his solo stuff.

I'm currently listening to some of the stuff from Dig Lazarus Dig as of late.

Murder Ballads is a must-have from him. Stagger Lee is such a badd *** song, just so violent and graphic.

I haven't really kept up with him a whole lot, but I did grab his stuff as Grinderman. You might like it, although I lost interest in it after the first few songs. But those first few songs are so awesome. "No Pussy Blues" is an anthem for the ages!

Cheers guys, I'll keep that in mind. I was into him when I was younger mainly 'cos my older sister (a ******* weirdo) was really into that stuff. I haven't listened to it for years!

Anyway, a mate of mine was showing me how to use bit-torrent the other day, as I wanted to download a few songs, find out what bits I like then buy the albums. I've never used bit torrent before (not really downloaded a song since Napster/AudioGalaxy got done in the late '90s) and I wanted to start with that duet he did with Kylie in the early '90s. I clicked on it Sunday afternoon and buggered off to the pub, forgot about it. When I woke up on Monday I found out that I had downloaded his entire back catalogue! Including The Birthday Party and Grinderman! Its going to take me ages to trawl through that to find out which ones are worth buying so just wanted some pointers on where to start. The Boatmans Call and Kicking Against the Pricks were the albums I remember from when I was young.

Oh ya, of the duets he has done I like the one with Kylie M the best. They fit together vocally for some odd reason.

Grinderman stuff is an acquired taste as Tadpui hints to. But there is some good stuff there as well.
