i just got a Delta 1010LT Sound Card, but i tried using adapters to convert my XLR mics into RCA so i could record using more than two mics at a time. In Acid Pro (the recording program i am using) I'm recieving signals in but they won't record when i hit record... can someone please help me?

did you arm the tracks for accepting the signal to record?

where are you seeing signal, specifically?

you'd have to determine exactly where the last place you have signal, for us to help more.

Also, maybe the signal isn't hot enough, but that's iffy.

yea, the only place it seems signal wouldnt be hot enough is right after the RCA patch, RCA is bad for strength compared to everyhing else you have going there

Are you trying to plug mic-level signals (directly from a microphone) into a line-level input using XLR-RCA adapters?

There would be your problem.

Make sure you are selecting the correct device (i.e... delta 1010) to use for recording/playback in the Acid Pro "audio" settings tab. If you're setup is anything like mine, the Delta1010 should have it's own control panel for input monitoring. You'll have to use that to actually control input recording levels. Then, as someone eluded to... make sure you're arming each track and then using the record button to actually record audio in Acid Pro.

Nothing else matters here.

Did anyone besides MM and myself see he is trying to input a microphone through a line level RCA connection.

That simply will not work.

It would need to be fed to a pre amp first off and then into the RCA line inputs of the 1010LT

i got it worked out, I'm running the signals from each port on my mixer into the RCA's via some 1/4 inch to RCA adapters.
