Sweet stuff indeed. I liked the cover of More then Words. But I do suggest you change the artist name from Extreme to whom ever performed it. Not sure if Nuno and Gary would mind, but legally you don't want visitor's to think you were mixng for Extreme.

Just a thought there.

But I liked the samples you had up for sure and couldn't really fault any parts of them at all. They sound well done.

Thanks Noize. I appreciate it...I thought that same thing about the artist name
I wasnt sure how to label it...i didnt want to put my name next to the song and make it look like i wrote it either.

You could just add that it is a cover in in parenthesis or what not. That would do it.

I'm going to give them another listen a bit louder tomorrow as well. I'm a closet Extreme fan so I was kind of partial to that one as well.

for some reason the songs came out really quiet when they were added to the site. I have someone else hosting for me so im not sure why this is....it could also be these crappy speakers i have on my laptop.

Im a big extreme fan also, that guy was an awesome guitarist...a lot of people dont realize that

the mix definitely needs a few effects here and there. its sounds a little flat to me.

Settle seems to be the one that is up in level to pretty much normal settings. The others are a bit quiet as you stated. So its not crappy speakers. It could be the mp3 encoding itself. What are you using to encode the mp3, and are you sure your getting a full level out of the file to start with?

Yep, one of my favorite Extreme mellow tunes for sure. Have you heard anything off the new album yet?

On the mix of More then Words. You could touch it maybe with some reverb, but I wouldn't go too overboard with it. I kinda like the raw sound, but indeed a bit of verb would give it a touch of roominess.

I havent heard anything off the new album yet...Is gary still part of the group?

Some of the tunes on my site havent been mixed as much...Extreme is pretty raw...since i put those on there i've been playing around with some compression and a bit of verb. Comp makes a huge difference...especially with acoustic and vocals. guitar needs some verb also to give the hand tap a little echo.

ill repost the song when i finish it....

The settle track was compressed after mixdown which probably gave it a bit more punch. But its weird, when i listen to the mp3 tracks on my computer it sounds a lot louder than the tracks on the site.

All the tracks were converted at 320 bit with the Lame encoder i added to Cakewalk.

I believe Gary is gone. It is a different project altogether. Called Chicken Foot I believe.

Featuring Hagar, Satriani, Chad Smith and Micheal Anthony.

So far what I have heard really kicks butt. Joe is very dialed back and simply just rockin out on this. And the combination of Smith and Anthony is really some power that has been missing in straight up rock for awhile.

I guess it could be the player your using. It would not be the first time a player has had an influence on the sound that is coming out via mp3. I know the myspace player is just horrible for artifacts. Some get them and others don't.

i think Nuno the guitarist lives here in Perth.
mind you he did a while back, dunno if he still does.
He married the singer from Baby Animals.

Ya, I am pretty sure they are still married. Not sure about him still living there. But I would guess he still keeps the home there even if not living there full time. I know I would.

Its funny as he kind of dissed the super group thing at first. But ya, the stuff is good. I expected a lot of flash from Satch and it isn't there. He is just playing straight up hard rockin guitar. I find that extremely cool for him to change up like that and go for a project like this. Actually all of them get big ups from me for this.
