I recently purchased ART Tubefire8 preamp/firewire interface. It came with Cubase LE. I am guessing that LE means "lite".. if so.. what difference would I expect between that and the full version? missing plugins?
Any thoughts on how it runs on XP?

May 03, 2009 07:21 pm Yep, fewer track count and fewer pluggins. There will be a difference in the amount or quality of tools and pluggins that are used in the light version as well.
And it should run on XP just fine.

Jul 05, 2009 01:29 pm Well I have been playing with Cubase LE as well. First I noticed I needed a VST Plugin Called Halion so I could use my wave files I have already sampled.
Would I still need Halio to play my .wav samples if I purchased the full blow Cubase 5?
And how would you rate Halion? With Halion 3.1 work with Cubase 4LE?

Jul 05, 2009 09:52 pm I'm a bit confused on what you mean by wav samples.
If your talking about simply dropping in audio wav files that are tracks then you didn't need Halion at all. Did some salesman tell you that it was needed?
Or are you talking actual sample's from a sampler like one hit drum sounds or horn blast's or other instrument sounds that need to be played back as one shot sounds?
