Do any of you use any other recording forums? if so what are they? What sort of capabilities to they have. I find this one is generally friendly and has good advice and I like listening to everyones music and getting feedback on my own but its been a bit quiet of late.

I frequent homerecording.com as well as this site. I only post in the Guitar and Bass forum over there though. I don't have much to add on any other subject over there.

Its just that there are some real douches that hang out on so many forums and around here they tend to not last long if they appear at all.

This is my number one go to forum, however I do reference some other forums but they are not what I would call "home-based recording".

www.studioforums.com

www.studio-central.com - Probably the best signal-to-noise of almost any mid-level forum out there, but very harsh on pirates - which is friggin' fine with me.

www.gearslutz.com - A staple.
