Hey everyone, I know it's been a while!
I had to re-format my HDDs a few days ago and have been loading all my software all over again- yay.
The only issue I have now is the CPU usage when opening any project in Sonar 7 PE. Even when creating a new project, the CPU sits at about 50% from square one. I'm clueless, as I've checked ASIO (latency reported-2.9ms,) Page File allocation, Cakewalk settings, etc etc.
Any ideas?

May 01, 2009 10:28 pm Is it possibly opening up some VST's and VSTi's that are not showing up, but are active and sucking up CPU cycles?

May 05, 2009 11:34 pm I'm retarded.
The problem was the ASIO4ALL drivers- they didn't append to the US-144, only the stock card (which I didn't realize as they were both using friendly names.) After disabling the on board card, it all snapped into place and I'm once again riding the gravy train on biscuit wheels.
Now if I could just figure out why my US-144 is still sucking 15% CPU at all times.... and the mystery continues!

May 07, 2009 08:18 pm I still have not come across any other bits about the 144 running resources while doing nothing yet. There is no logical reason for it to be doing that either. But if its working then that is a plus.
