It sounds like latency is the issue at hand, but wondering what caused its sudden appearance.
delay in multitrack recording

I've been using Adobe 1.5 for years.
All of a sudden now when I record in multitrack, there is a delay or a timing problem when I play back. The tracks are out of time with eachother. Any ideas why? I tried updating my soundcard driver but that didn't help. The only thing I know that is different is I'm using a new set of headphones but I also tried by using the integral speakers and same problem.
