Hi
I'm trying to record my piano through Cubase using a Edirol UA-25 and after a full afternoon of fiddling about I'm about to smash the thing!
I wonder if anybody could help? I'm using Cubase SE, Windows Vista (32 bit machine), and a casio digital piano. All drivers are installed and there's just no piano being recorded on Cubase. I've followed their instructions but still nowt.
Help!

You want to use the audio of the keyboard, or the midi of the keyboard to trigger sounds in cubase?

This sounds like a similar problem that I had encountered when I first got my Edirol PCR-500 midi controller. I was also using Cubase LE at the time.

When you are in Cubase and you have your keyboard on, press a key on your keyboard and look at the transport bar. If your keyboard is outputting midi information the bar on the right should jump and show midi activity. If nothing happens then your keyboard is not sending midi info to your interface. This could be caused by a couple of things.

First, (this was my problem), most keyboards require you to set the keyboard itself for midi output. On my Edirol i had to go into it's system settings and make an adjustment that allowed my keyboard to send midi. Look in your manual and make sure your keyboard is on the right setting.

If you've already done that, the next thing you have to check is the midi device manager in Cubase. Make sure that it shows your interface or soundcard under installed devices. If not then your device is either installed or connected improperly.
