What is a good setting for buffer speed, when i'm recording a new track while playing along with somewhere around 5 other tracks, so that the timing doesnt get lost, and the playback of the recorded tracks doesn't suffer in quality as i'm recording my new track?

I normally run at 128, sometimes 256 if I'm not familiar with the piece. On my system that is only a few milliseconds though.

I run at 256 and have no problems with drift.

Suprisingly, on my new Machine I can crank the buffers to run all my effects, yet I can still record in time. I guess the CPU takes that load rather well.
