Can't Get Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 to Work with Vista

Would appreciate any help. Just bought a new computer with Vista OS and can't get Pro Audio 9 to open. My set up is Vista Home Premium
Computer : Brand new Lenovo Vista PC
Processor : Pentium (R) Dual Core CPU E5200 @2.50 Ghz 2.50
Memory : 4 gigabytes
Soundcard : Tascam US-144 interface
Synthesizer : Roland XP-30

Computer hooked hooked to Tascam with USB. Roland's midi cables into Tascam. Behringer Eurorack MX1804x main out into Tascam and Roland output to Behringer Eurorack.

During Pro Audio installing error message popped up "Set up is unable to find languages in F:\Ntonyx\setup.LID file Error 105" However the installation process compeleted.

But when I click on the Pro Audio icon to run the program with pro audio window opens but freezes in the process with the Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 Multitrack Recording Studio 9 hanging up. The "cursor thing" swirls in a circle as if trying to complete the process, but it simply hangs there. Is there a Vista/ Pro Audio Driver out there that would help? I looked for it on Cakewalk's site but could not find a driver or firmware for Pro Audio 9 anywhere. I would desparately appreciate any help. All my music was written in Pro Audio

Although I am pretty sure that Tascam does have a Vista driver for the interface, sadly Pro Audio 9 is many years old and was never ported to run past early version's of XP.

I have only heard of one instance of PA 9 running in any version of Vista, but it requires disabling the user account and running under an administrator account. Not many folks want to dig that deep into Vista and its constant lock up what it doesn't recognize coding.

That said here are a few links I googled up that may or may not help you resolve the issue.

As far as I know you are not going to be able to run it easily.

Something you might try is r-click on the icon for pro audio and select properties->compatibility, check the run in comptibility mode and chose XP, also check the Run As Adminstrator box. In addition if that doesn't work try turning the Aero interface off. If it still doesn't work odds are it isn't going too.
