you guys know the card. i got it not too long ago, and i was wondering if there was any way to go beyond recording stereo. i checked the manual, and it seems that i'm limited. i'd like to be able to record drums one track per mic, but it seems impossible! would anyone enlighten me?

thanks!

is the Audiophile the only sound card installed on your machine? Cause if you have another card, maybe the generic one that came with the computer, any decent multitracker will let you assign different devices to different tracks.

The Audiophile will allow you to record 2 analog tracks at once by panning each in hard left and hard right. If you have a digital output on your mixer you can also use left and right from those outs.

The Audiophile is not really a multitracking card, it is more of a mastering card, or a card for a one-man-band sort of setup.

M-Audio does make other cards that will have more inputs. The smaller of which are the Delta 44 and Delta 66. They have 4 and 6 inputs respectivly. I know its a little late now, but maybe you can sell the Audiophile and move up to one of the Deltas. I use one and have very good luck with it.
