The piano intro on this song was something that my best friend had written before he passed away. I had the midi file so I used that as an intro and then wrote the rest of the song around it. It still needs vocals and I think I'm going to add a guitar solo to it. Comments on the song/mix are appreciated. It's under my profile.

But the sound seems very good to me. It has a pleasant room sound to the piano part. And the strings sit nicely behind the piano and don't overtake it.
But nicely done for sure.

Mar 09, 2009 07:27 pm Thanks for the kind words. I think the drums turned out better than on my previous songs. I tried really hard to get them to sound half decent.
I don't know what style you would call the piano part. There's a lot of rests thrown in there and a few time changes.
Well I gave the song to my singer friend to write some lyrics for it a while back, but he still hasn't come up with anything. Seeing as I can't sing, and I'm not very good at writing lyrics, I'm kind of at the mercy of him. Maybe I'll have vox someday...
