Feb 08, 2009 07:43 pm I've read some of his stuff before when it was originally posted at M.A.R.S.H. Very good, and very funny at the same time. I'm really curious who exactly he is referring to as his teachers in some of that stuff. But he is so spot on with most of it. Although there are open school's of thought on a lot of it. And he hints at that as well.
For those of you looking for a very good piece on recording the heaviest of guitars this is an article for you.

Feb 08, 2009 09:01 pm i have this saved in my docs. its is hell funny and informative.
there's just one thing i never quite got.
the bit around the start (setting up cab)
where he talks about the piece of string measured out from the cab.
dont think he ever touched on that again, but am still wondering what he meant.
Feb 08, 2009 09:31 pm I think that's for when he does a 2nd and 3rd mic option.

Feb 09, 2009 01:06 pm I read about 90% of this a few months back. Hilarious and good info at the same time. I need a good room and an assistant before I could dive very deep into his process though.
