Jan 23, 2009 05:34 pm I am interested in how you will solve the problem... I too have a Tascam US144 but I haven't tried the midi yet. I am planning on using it for connecting an electronic drum set when I buy one.

Jan 25, 2009 08:47 pm ok i just recently bought a HP laptop with windows vista 64 and when i try to install the tascam us-144 it says this installation is only for the 32-bit one. Please install the 64-bit version. How do i get the 64-bit installation

Also you will find current firmware updates. I suggest getting them both if you are running Vista. Sadly Vista is a pain in the arse to get some of the budget interfaces to work. But I do believe I have read that the 144 driver's are working pretty well.
