hello HRC. I'm trying to find out whether its possible/how - to record the sounds of my microkorg into ableton live using the easily edited midi layout, rather than just using it as a controller for the software instruments. I'm using a USB/midi cable and also have an audio cable to connect the microKORG to my laptop

Jan 19, 2009 12:49 pm Well, yes you can record the audio directly out of the microKorg into ableton if you wish. That is simply a matter of hooking up the audio outputs of the micro to the line input of the laptop. Although if you are recording using the o board sound chip of the laptop you may notice a delay in the sound as the stock sound chip is not meant for that type of use.
It will work, but you may have to move the recorded audio to line it up with any pre existing tracks.
