Mbox Micro II with Line 6 kb37 pros and cons

So I have a Toneport kb37 and would like to do my recording in the bundled Live Lite 5 and dump things into protools LE for editing and mixing 'cause the Mbox Micro has no audio inputs. The reason I wish to do this is because I heard its the ulitmate tool for producing professional quality songs and, the studios I hope to internship with soon will be most likely based around protools. Also my school studio could be used to track drums and carried back home to my laptop and vice-versa for vocals and such.

My Question is then, what are the pros and cons of using this setup that I might not be seeing? I believe I can get the highest quality output at home cheaply just by adding the micro to my arsenal.
Is protools really worth getting even if I'm not recording things through it. I've used protools before but am still relatively new at producing high quality tracks well.

Thanks for your help and advice!!

To be very honest, no it is not the be all end all that some make it out to be. I work in PT, not here though and really never will use it here. I have used Cakewalk products, currently Sonar 8 PE and don't see the need as I can tranport my projects to other studio's without problems. And import project here as well from any other DAW. The only thing that would be lacking is the proprietary automation or saved project files such as Sonars BND files or the PT files. But transfering raw wav files is a breeze and I have been doing it that way for years.

I will say though that if you are going to be going the PT route and no for a fact you are going to be working in that environment all the time then that would indeed be a good set up.

But be aware of its limits, track count and number of pluggins that are supplied for free. They are limited, were as in Sonar you get full on pro level pluggins and synths that you do not have to pay extra for. And track counts are unlimited.
