Dec 16, 2008 12:23 pm I can't see the video at work, but I can tell your right now that I suck at rockband.... badly. I have been playing all sorts of instruments since age 13 and I just plain suck at GH\RB type of games.
Dec 16, 2008 12:24 pm that was cool.
Dec 16, 2008 12:33 pm Amazing. How did they fail?

Dec 16, 2008 12:39 pm ya, says a little bit about Rockband I think
Dec 16, 2008 02:44 pm That was stupefying. Peart seemed like he had no tempo at all. Very funny.
Dec 16, 2008 06:03 pm I suck at Guitar Hero (I've never played Rock Band). I'm constantly telling my son that if he spent half as much time on his real guitar that he spends on Guitar Hero he'd be a freakin' virtuoso!
I think it might be fun to play, but I'm probably too much of a purist guitar snob to let myself enjoy it. I take a similar stance with Karaoke. Ain't nothin' like the real thing, baby.
Dec 16, 2008 06:21 pm I would like to take this opportunity to say that you, jim, are going DOWN this week in fantasy football.

Dec 16, 2008 09:31 pm They failed because the Professor knocked the drums over. Otherwise they were on track for a perfect score it looked like.
Herb, I've watched several kids playing that stupid game which is not allowed in this house. But indeed the drummer always seems off tempo when they are playing. It hits right in the game but sounds very off when the kit is hit. I dunno, you'll never catch me playing that crap. Leave me to the racing and killing.

Since you hijacked the thread...I believe that you are mistaken. You took me down earlier in the season, but I still managed to go into the playoffs as the number one seed. This is as far as I have made it in fantasy football, and I'm goin' all the way.
How about a little wager?
You win this weekend, I have a Vikings helmet avatar for the rest of 2008. I win, you have a Packers helmet avatar for the rest of 2008.
What do you say?

Let's leave that to Jim and Dan.
Careful, warriors. Last year I won with few or no aneurisms.
Dec 17, 2008 08:29 am Jim, that's a deal.

Dec 17, 2008 06:17 pm I think Rock band would be a very valid music teacher in regards to reading notes.
That is...
If there were only five notes and they were all color coded.

Dec 17, 2008 10:37 pm OH, this is going to be good. Sadly I went in as number 2 and was pasted by some un forseen misfortune because Eli had a bad weekend and actually cost me a point. Sucks to be me.
Dec 19, 2008 02:04 am I hear tell that on the hardest difficulty: The drums can actually be considered to be a good learning device.
However, I have no real basis to tell me if this is true/false.
