I really wanted to get my daughter and her boyfriend to sing this as a duet. But his voice is shot. So I did it. I got to use my new Blue Bird mic. I won it through a sweepstake at Sweetwater. I like it alot. My voice (though crap) stands out alot better. I teaching my self piano (at a snails pace) so I threw in some piano to keep it true to the original. Im playin all instrument as usual. Im sloppy at times, so its rough. Here is a link to the tune. Hope you enjoy it. www.soundclick.com/util/g...137422&q=hi
Here is a pic of the mic. Isnt it purdy.

Man that was really well done Bushmaster, and I think your voice worked perfectly for the song, sounded great!

Thanks Olddog. I need to do more Chuck Berry tunes. I think the mic helped too. I have to run down to the music store and get a new snare head (I put a whole in it). But as soon as I get the new one on, Im gonna do another tune to try the mic out again.

Let's go sailing....

Thanks Noize2u. Its something about those simple guitar rhythms that just work. Its like ACDC High Voltage album. Simple rock that never gets old.

Thanks again. I was hoping to get out in the studio tonight. But I just got back from Christmas shopping and all the crazy people have me wore out. I hope Im done shopping :) Have to check my list again to make sure. My son (plays drums) is coming home from the Navy and a buddy of his (Navy also) is coming to stay with us for the holiday. He is a guitar player, so I hope to record alot of stuff. Probably wont see my son for a long time after new years.

Yep, same boat here with Tuna. he'll be here from the 17th to the 2nd. After that it could be years before we see him again depending on were he is shipped out to.

His godfather will be here for Christmas day so we might have a little jam and try to get Ray involved as well. Maybe some simple blues as he is just starting.
