Nicely done for sure. I loved the drums, nice and crisp and very present in the mix. The guitars sounded splendid as well.

But dude, the bass! It really drove this along so well. Excellent sound on that as well. I think the mix sounds great.

The song is "Let Me Take It In" - and thank you very much for your comments.

I too think the bass rocks on this track!

Nice song. The mix sounded pretty darned good to me. And I agree, the bass sounded awesome.

Yeah who needs a real drummer? They're a bit of an odd folk, those drummers. And they always play while your trying to tune...

Beta Monkey are real drummers too - thats why I think its sounds so good. I will check out DrumCore too.

Drummers are usually late to practice - its nice to have loops to depend on - well not really - but it will do in a pinch.

The drummer we use on our studio cd's in nashville is incredible.

Thanks for the nice comments....

Ya, I really like DrumCore as well as they use many different formats in there. Real drums from a huge selection of top name drummers in various loop config's so you can build as you would in Beta Monkey. I think there are a good deal more selection wise with Drumcore. It can also do midi drums and as with most others it can be used to build your own kits from your own drum sounds. I love the thing. The original Drumcore can do stand alone or be ReWired into your DAW. The newer KitCore which I am starting a review on is a pluggin type and looks to be killer, up there with Battery as far as the arrangement pain goes.

Yeah - I downloaded the demo - it seems ok - I guess I am so used to doing it via Acid 6.0 Pro that Drum Core seems to be not as natural feeling for me while creating.

I'm gonna spend a little time with it and see how I like it.

Thanks.

If I get a bit of time I'll see if I can wip up a small sample piece using some of the newer drum loops and such from DrumCore and KitCore.

Ya, with DrumCore I am so used to working with finding the bits I want. Then I ReWire into Sonar or P5 and work from there. That or simply build up a kit from what I was using loop wise.

But to be honest, I will sometimes turn them into Acidized type loops in Sonar and work with them that way as well.

KitCore now will be a VSTi so that is going to be even more fun to work with.
