No idea why, normally works fine then suddenly I'll record a track and it will sound well late, surely I cant be that out of time every bar!
I'm using a TonePort UX2 with GearBox and recording in REAPER.

Dec 09, 2008 08:54 pm Were is your buffer set at? If it is up past say 256 or 512 max that may be causing it.
Is the recorded track sounding late or simply hearing it monitored late?

Dec 10, 2008 05:22 am Its actually recored late. Sounded great when I was playing it, **** on playback.
It just started working a bit later and was fine. No idea how to set buffering, I've left everything at default.
When I got it working in time it still sounded **** though even though it sounded great when I was actually playing it.

Dec 11, 2008 08:50 pm I wonder if Reaper has a setting which compensates for latency and its set at something other then 0, which with the UX you should not have but a few Ms of latency. And it sounds like that is what you have if your hearing it on time through Reaper.
pjk is the Reaper guru, hopefully he will catch this.

Dec 12, 2008 03:45 am Sounds fine now. Did some recordings last night and all is well. I think it might be something to to with having IE or another programme open.
