I don't think this has been mentioned before, at least not recently. The Line6 GearBox Gold bundles are already gone and the Silver isn't far behind, so if you're interested in Amp Sims you might want to take advantage of the latest Line6 offer.

You buy the Gearbox Silver Bundle DI (includes a USB DI w/0 latency monitoring) package @ $99 and get a free upgrade via download to the Gold Bundle as well as a free upgrade to the new Pod Farm Platinum.

I just recieved mine this week and at $99 it's a great deal, a steal in fact IMO. :)

Yep, saw that. They have been sending me the deal since the release of POD Farm. It is nicely done and a nice update as the next generation of GearBox.

You get the upgrade to Pod Farm even if you buy now. The offer lasts until 12/31, but Musician's Friend where I bought mine is already sold out, Sweetwater still had it as of when I posted, and I think you can also order online from Line6.

yes but i mean what if you don't already have pod farm? i dont understand what all the different tools are from line 6. i only know the physical pod. looked to me like there's a pod VST which is the main thing you're buying here (the silver bundle, upgradeable to gold for free) PLUS this pod farm thing? is that correct? if so, i don't have pod farm. if i got this thing, would i then get it too or not

Yes you would also get Pod Farm, which is a new VST that I think is going to replace the Gearbox at some point, that includes *all* the Hardware PODXT tones w/all Model Packs. Like I said it's a killer deal IMO.

I've been playing with it since I got it and I have to say it's the easiest to get really good tones out of that I've tried so far, much better than GR3 for instance.

Yep, Pod Farm is simply the next gen of GearBox as OD stated.

And ya, with it will be either the option to use it with Toneports and PODs and the like or simply as a pluggin.

And OD I could not agree more. I'm not sure I see the big deal about GR at all. Mind you I guess I haven't spent a lot of time tinkering with it....
