i've been using ACID 5.0 music studio and upgraded to 6.0 recently, but having a slight problem. when i record a track everything is fine, but when i go to play back the audio isn't lined up to where it's supposed to be. it's a few measures back. i need to line it back up then it's fine again.
what do i need to do to fix this?
thanks so much...

Nov 03, 2008 05:07 pm I don't want to swoop in like Captain Obvious after a big lunch, but did you possibly go through the (rather well-written, IMO) manual on the subject?
Nov 03, 2008 07:05 pm Ok, I am a heavy Acid Pro 6 user... is the audio itself not lining up? Or is it playing the audio right but doesn't look linedup as far as the audio wave forms??

Nov 03, 2008 09:49 pm Ya, I've scoured the manual for another user here and am almost finished and I have not found anything obvious to tell what might have gotten switched on or off that is causing this issue.
What OS are you using, SP or Vista?

Nov 03, 2008 10:55 pm i've searched the manual and haven't had any luck. thanks noize2u for reading up as well. hmmmmm....
rockwood610 - the audio records fine, plays back fine, the only difference is that i have to move it over so it's sitting in the right spot of the song. hopefully that makes sense.

Nov 04, 2008 01:54 pm forgot to mention, my OS is Windows XP.
Nov 04, 2008 06:14 pm My audio all plays fine and is in perfect sync, but the wave forms dont look right. If I attempt to move it, it goes out of sync.
Are you using a tempo change at all???

Nov 04, 2008 11:46 pm nope, not using a tempo change...
however, i found out the problem, here's what i did.
so, i was able to fix the problem i've been having. usually it's a latency recording problem (you hear a delay when you're playing live and recording), but this is basically a latency playback problem. try this;
click on "options"
click on "preferences"
note: my audio device is microsoft sound mapper by the way...
unclick "automatically detect"....
then, change "user recording latency offset". it should be defaulted at 0. since the audio is a bit behind you have to move it forward until your audio lines up. i tried it at 68 and it worked out.
the best way to check if it's lined up is; if you put the metronome on then play a beat and record it, then zoom in and make sure it's lining up on the 1.
ahhhh, i can sleep now, it's been killing me!
Nov 05, 2008 12:20 am You must be having a different issue then mine, because I tried all of that and nothing worked.
Mine is not a flawed playback or recording issue, just a slight annoyence I can work around if need be.
Either way, glad to hear you got it figured out. If you ever need any help with Acid pro 6, let me know. I took certification tests online for 4 of Sony's major softwares... Acid was one of them. I am always willing to help. If it wasn't for the helpful people on this forum, I wouldn't know what I do now on a lot of things.
You can even e-mail me persoanly for help. I check my mail several times a day, so I'll hget back to you often.

Nov 21, 2008 07:15 pm I had the same problem. Try changing your project setting to 48 khz instead of 44.1
