Acid Pro 6, Lexicon Alpha, and Panning Problems

Hi, I just joined this site and it seems very helpful. I recently purchased Sony's Acid Pro 6, a Shure Beta 58a, and a Lexicon Alpha Desktop Recording Studio, the link to which is at the bottom of my post.

I've been having trouble with Acid Pro. When I record something with the microphone, it does record, but during playback all of the recorded sound plays from the right speaker only. The pan settings are set to center, so this shouldn't be happening. The problem is usually (though I seem to remember once it was not) remedied by setting the pan level to 50% left. I have fiddled with the knobs on the Alpha itself and this doesn't seem to have much effect in terms of panning.

One important note is that the software that came with the Alpha, Cubase LE, works with recording as well, and it does not have the panning issues that Acid Pro does. I would like to use Acid Pro if at all possible, because it's very nice software. Thanks!

You don't need to pan anything... You're trying to record a mono source to a stereo track.

Don't do that = No problem.

or, if you "are" recording onto a mono track, change your output in your track to "stereo out".
is it currently set to "stereo right"?
i know mine in cubase4 is, by default.

this all should be in your track window somewhere, dunno bout acid though, should be.

like Massive says though, record most things to a mono track not stereo.
