Problem with "new" Behringer SL2442FX-PRO mixing desk

I recently bought a 2nd hand Behringer Xenyx SL2442FX-PRO desk.

When I got to trying out the 2 onboard FX units, after trying a few patches, both units re-set to patches 1 & 25 respectively, then the patch# LEDs started to flash and a thumping/clicking noise came from main out.

Turning down the FX to Main Out pots got rid of the noise, but the LEDs continued to flash and then eventually went out, though the noise was still there if I turned up FX to Main Out.

Basically FX now unusable.

Not sure quite what to do - anyone recognise this fault or does anybody know a reliable repair bloke in or near East London (Hackney) UK?

OR, how can I get hold of the circuit diagram? It's not available on the Behringer site.

Have y'a tried plugging in a foot switch into it, and toggling the fx on/off ? Maybe that will reset it ?

Outside ot that suggestion, I really can't say what might be the issue . It sounds like the fx module is messed up, but being a second hand purchase kind'a leaves you in the lurch as far as customer support .

Anyway, give that a whirl if you haven't yet .

Oh, welcome to HRC by the way !

If there is a factory reset for the FX portion of the mixer you can try that. The manual should be available to download for the Behringer site as well adn that might shed some lite on the subject. I'm not real familiar with the unit but am guessing that aq reset might solve some issues.
