just wondering about something here.

if i have reverb on something like guitars, and the song has a sudden stop or mute in it, how do i stop the reverb/effect along with it?

is this an automation job?

Is the reverb printed on the guitar track, or are you sending an aux to a reverb?

If the former, it's going to stop. If the latter, you'll have to cut the send at the same time if you don't want to hear the verb at that point (dead silence).

AFTERTHOUGHT: If you have the verb inserted on the guitar, put it on an aux instead.

Yep, what Massive said. But you may still have to automate the fader down or mute the channel. I prefer the fader unless you want an abrupt cut.
