Although now with the vox added in the drums kind of take a bit of aback seat, mostly during the chorus parts. I am not sure it is a level thing though. I'm trying to listen a bit more critical and see if it is the vocal that is too out front or if the drums just need a bit of oomph to them to cut through.
I'm wondering if a bit of multi-band compression on them putting a bit of emphasis on the upper mids and highs might give them a bit more life, mostly during the chorus parts I guess is when it is really noticeable.
I'll be giving it a bit more listening tomorrow to make sure its not just my head spinning as I've been a little wacked out today for some reason.
But ya, great voice for sure. Its a great rocking tune and had me tappin my toe. And I'm not a big country fan at all, so that is saying something.
