although i do not believe in bigfoot, i want to.

these peeps are not legit, though. hiding the body, they get to pick their 'scientists' to analyze it, etc.

I have to agree with Forty, the concept is very titalizing. It is exciting to think that something that size and close to human population could avoid contact with humans for ages. Go go Sasquash!

I met with Bigfoot this morning and he told me himself he's not dead. ;-)

Bigfoot is one of those things that, well, could be real, anything is possible, but as yet I don't think there is really any REAL evidence to prove it...

Now, Loch Ness... :-)

If they found it in georgia, why are they showing it off in CA? And why not show the whole thing. Why are they hiding anything. I'm calling faux.

i don't even understand what these guys were thinking. they submitted material for DNA analysis and of course it instantly failed. it came back as human DNA and oppossum DNA.

if their goal was to get attention and boost their bigfoot hunting business, they would have done better with the standard piece of fake evidence for bigfoot: a fake videotape. this way, they got one day of big news coverage and then instant fail on multiple fronts.

Yep, not sure either on if it is real or not. To be honest the bigfoot thing is hard to believe as how could he or them stay hidden for so long with all these people looking for it. There just are not that many place for it to hide that well.

Now with dB and the Loch Ness thing. Well that water is deep and it is dark. So indeed that is a possible monster we can believe might not be easy to find.

But as forty pointed out the DNA failed so there is bunk number one.

And with coolo, why would they move it and hide it from public view if it were indeed real? I agree on it being hog wash.

i must repeat again that i don't believe in bigfoot. however, i can imagine a way that the creatures could hide. if they were intelligent, somewhere just below our own level, they would know to hide themselves from us. they could be nocturnal. they could bury their dead. and the population could be small. all these things would go quite some way toward keeping them hidden.

i hate to stick up for bigfoot, though. i'm just sayin', there's ways that they could hide, if they existed. the burial thing would be really important, though.

new species are often being discovered, generally in the deep dark ocean or in the depths of the dense amazon rain forest or places like that, but every now and then out in the open, or at least in the more open...

While I completely agree that it is possible they could be that intelligent and have survived like that for a long time. What are the odds that with the way this country is having land developed and dug up all over the place that some hasn't dug one up yet? Just adding fuel here.

But ya, burial is a possible solution and even the fact they might be smart enough to know were to go to avoid discovery.

But ya, watching discovery channel is a blast to see all the new goodies they come up with from the depths of the oceans that have not been explored as of yet. And the Rain Forest from a show last year were the guy discovered something along the lines of 30 or 40 new types of bugs that have never been seen before.

I can feel pretty confident that there will be no new discoveries of living animal species that are larger than a dog in North America.

On a side note, those "fun with big foot commercials" were hilarious. Can't remember what the product was, but I just remember laughing every time.

It was for jack links beef jerky, friggin hilarious commercials.

Why wouldn't there be any? There is still a lot of forest and mountainous areas...I am not in ANY WAY claiming it's likely, just a possibility.

I feel like we would have seen tracks or fur or remains, or something by now if they did exist.

Still laughing at human and possum DNA

the jack links commercial with the golf cart is one of the better ones, i think, because the bigfoot almost falls over while overturning the cart. this is so half-assed:

Reminds me of when we would take city kids Snipe hunting in Northern Michigan. Get them all dressed up like psycho-big-bird and have them making run around the woods making the wierdest sounds we could think of. I'd hate to be the guy all dressed up camoflage gear hunting and have a crew of big foot hunters spot me. I'd be hoofin it through the woods too! Human and opposum.... Hmmmmm. Out west the sheep are lookin over their shoulders. I guess down south the possom must be more than just dinner aye?

Nice one Nightcap. That was one of the weirder ones he did. Bob Chandler was a genius to come up with that scheme. Now he and Everet Jasmer the creater of USA 1 just sit back and collect money.

Walt, the older scouts used to do that with the newer kids. Take them out Snipe hunting. They would make them sit there in the dark in the middle of the woods with a butterfly net calling the Snipe call to attract them. Of course there was always the one that got away.

Man, this is kind of funny. I just watched an old episode of In Search of. The old Leonard Nimoy show.

There show was almost verbatim of what is going on here. Found big foot, have him in a freezer. Big foot was about to be revealed on national TV, when suddenly, the freezer disappeared. Where did the freezer go? No body knows. Ya right!

Hoax! I'm calling this one right now. Hoax!

(Waits patiently for the rebuttal.

Rob, I'm with you as well. Not a chance that thing was hiding in that area without some coon dog treeing him, or them.

Yes sir Noize, I'm located in Georgia. Been living here for almost 7 years.

Concerning Bigfoot, I've been telling everybody from the beginning that it was a hoax.

Your right nightcap. You called it as well. Then again, I think we all called it.

Funny you should mention cats. We just picked one up today from the county animal shelter. A feisty little calico. We've been a bit lonely since we lost our border collie. We named her Donna. Strange name for a cat? If it were a male, we'd have named it Jim.

Cats do some funny zhit. Now we're looking for the right kind of dog that can get along with her.

I like the name Donna. Jim is a good name too, when it's the right cat, of course. I've known a few males who were perfect for that name. They were rascals!

The loss of a pet can be quite devastating, so I know what you mean by feeling lonely.

BTW Let me introduce our cats: Gracie & Mr. Kitty. The latter is a long story...

That's not fair. I was in love with her when I was young...

I had a girl
Donna was her name
Since she left me
I've never been the same
'Cause I love my girl
Donna, where can you be
Where can you be

I thought the song was about her!

WYD and Deon: it's really no surprise to me! Just look at it this way: Bigfoot is a creature surrounded by myths and, for most of us men, so are women.

And be honest, isn't a beautiful woman a lot nicer to talk about?
