Hi,
Im a 14 year old lad.
I enjoy recording and stuff to do with music production.
But being new to the whole thing ive never set much

Recording stuff on my own I normally use other peoples stuff.

I need to know how to connect my laptop into my mixing desk.
Also need it to work through cubase.Unfrotunately I only have an older version of cubase ‘VST4’.
I have a medion laptop its spec is Intel(R)Core(TM)2 Duo CPU [email protected] GHz
2038 MB, 32-bit operating system.

And a Soundcraft ‘Spirit E6’ mixing desk.
Please don’t use too technical language as im still very much a rookie.
Sorry

Thanks a lot james x

With a standard laptop you can only use the stereo output from either headphone output or, if lucky, a line out output, and run those from a "Y" cable to split it into 2 cables (one right and one left) then put those into two channels of your mixer.

For more outputs than that you'd need a USB or firewire interface to split the Cubase project into multiple outputs.
