Ya, I know. the kid with the new toy is at it again. But hey, at least it is in keeping with the music side of things :)
So, this 4th of July we did the WMGK 102.9 Let Freedom Rock Fest with Randy Bachman.
It nearly rain all day. But, we got everything of with out a hitch. Randy was good. His band was fun to hang with.
This is on e of the radio DJ's. He is kind of a legend around here. John DeBella.
Randy trying to ignore me.
Randy and band
Now I know that there is always one in every crowd. But this guy. He showed up early, and was one of the last to leave. This guy is the poster child for Alcoholism.

Jul 06, 2008 12:20 am Nice stuff Rob. Randy Bachman is a legend in some of the crowds I used to play with.
I remember watching him in his early days with that guitar stuffed right up under his chin. But his middle was a lot bigger in those days as well.
Did he play mostly BTO stuff I assume?
As for the guy in the helmet, I gotta agree. Neck brace and helmet, what more can a guy who falls down a lot ask for. And the helmet is complete with complimentary radio station bumper sticker I see.
Jul 06, 2008 12:33 am Name the BTO song, he did it. Name the Guess Who song, he did it.
He still sounds the same. But, you can see by the pictures, he is not very energetic on stage.
I know that he is not a spring chicken. But anything would have been good. Not just standing there.
It was almost as bad as B.J. Thomas.

Jul 06, 2008 01:06 pm Ya, The Guess Who were Great for the time. That was the days he played that guitar so high up we all wondered how the heck he did that.
But ya, I can see him just standing around. He was really never much of a mover or shaker even back then.
