Their is a new type of online radio station. It's part of the Music Genome Project. www.pandora.com/
You can either listen to what the band themselves pick to put on their station, or, you can create your own.
My wife started doing this today. It looks as if you enter in what type of music that you are interested in. From there, they start playing songs for you. You give it a thumbs up, or down. and it adds and subtracts the songs from your station.
From your choices, they will give you some interesting music to listen to.
It maybe worth a go.

Jul 02, 2008 11:28 pm Hey Rob, I've been shouting the pleasures of Pandora and listening for about 3 years now. I enjoy simply typing something in and then seeing what comes up. I also was involved in the save the music drive to help them stay alive and got to meet them when they were here for a round table in Minneapolis.
My studio site used to have a page dedicated to them.
Nice find indeed though. It is a pretty cool place. I can find a lot of music related to Tangerine Dream there so that really gets me listening.

I just found out about this today. I was really digging it. Just typed in The Ramones. Just to see what would come up.
Heard a couple of gems that I never heard before.

Jul 03, 2008 09:56 pm Ya, they don't advertise a lot or anything so it is kind of a word of mouth thing. I like it for the same reasons you stated. You get to hear some stuff you won't hear anywhere else.
