Yea! I think you'll like C4... It's the bomb! (I know, cheesy, but I couldn't help myself). I really like the prog.

mclir9.... I seriously doubt it. C4 is pretty piggy, but it works like a horse.

CPU usage of the programs from the top makers are pretty similar I believe, the big differences come in with the plugins you use and how you use them.

There is no difference between the cross grade and the full on C4. The cross grade just means they are giving you a tiny discount to change to their software.

And ya, for the most part Sonar and C4 are pretty similar in CPU usage. But as Walt stated, C4 can be a little bit bigger CPU hog as it does process a bit differently then Sonar.

Sonars audio engine works slightly different in that it only uses the horse power it needs instead of hogging it in reserve. But that said, it can add it up quickly with some of the newer pluggins they are including that are extreme CPU hogs. But when you hit the pro level of pluggins like those that is the norm all around.

Thanks for that noise. i assumed i was buying C4, but when i got home with the receipt it said all this other stuff, so i wasnt 100% sure.
i still dont have it as yet, will pick it up tomorrow.
At least now i know for sure.

I posted some other stuff a while back in regards to the vst rack and EZDrummer.
Looking back now i dont think i explained it very well, but with C4 all should be good with that and EZDrummer, so,
problem solved.

Awesome man! I have Cubase Sx3 and EZ drummer and I love it. I don't think you should have any problems with it. It did take me a while before I realized I could assign each drum to a different track and add fx though. It's really easy, I'm just retarded.

I know what you mean about buying new stuff. I just bought me some new studio gear and now I'm trying to refrain from making more purchases. For now at least...

Man, new purchases. I did recently upgrade to Audition 3 with zero problems. There is also and ART TUBE PAC on craigslist for $75 I am gonna grab up today. I am not a fan of the little ART pre's but reading online all reviews say this thing is just ridiculous quiet and great for tracking acoutics and vox. For $75 I can't pass it up.

yeah with LE4 i was bewilderd as to where the hell the i could get the multi track of EZ happening, then found out that LE4 doesnt have any of that and like i was saying in a previous thread, just the straight LE used to have that opiton (vst rack) so i wasnt happy...
but unhappiness there, lad to major happiness with Buying C4!

So...everything is all smilie and happyishy once again.
