Hi my friends, i am beggining with a home studio projecto to record my bands music. I am using Nuendo3 with a MOTU 8Pre, i have installed the driver and followed the instructions for configuring the interface on Nuendo but when i record a track i am just getting the Right side mono eventhough i have selected the track as a Stereo...have you experienced something like this?
I will appreciate a lot your help
Jorge

Jun 06, 2008 06:33 pm Are you feeding 2 inputs on the MOTU unit? You need to feed lets say inputs 1 and 2 which would be 1=left and 2=right. Then you need to set up a stereo track to use inputs 1/2 in stereo.

Jun 07, 2008 12:00 am If the track is 1 source, then record it into a mono track (i assume nuendo can do this).
then let nuendo make stereo out of it. should happen without any input from you. Mono tracks get sent to both sides when played back. But they have to be a mono track. Stereo tracks keep their pan settings.

Jun 17, 2008 02:17 am also, generally left is "mono" on most units, it's kinda weird you're only hearing out of the right side...check you cables on your interface, channel 1 should be left and two right.
Jun 19, 2008 05:16 pm i think i got it pjk...you are right i will record all the tracks as mono then i will tell Nuendo to play that track in the main outputs as stereo...i tried it and it works :)
thanks a lot!!!!!
