hey ive recently worked out a way that i connect my soundcard to my surround sound system , just for experimental purposes for now.
Ive got the Surround sound plugins and on a 5.1 channel n that in CUbase SX .. but i cant find how to automate the pan.
Is it possible to automate surroundsound panning? so like i can getthings moving around the room and that? .. like moving from left to right but all over the room
thanks in advance.

Jun 02, 2008 07:25 pm I haven't played with surround in cubase cause i only have a stereo setup, but you should be able to automate the pans on a surround channel just like you would a normal channel.

Jun 02, 2008 07:35 pm yeah, just played around for a minute, just set your surround channels up like you would be automating anything else and you'll be fine. Don't forget to use the read automation feature after you record it though, so you'll be able to see/hear what you've done

Jun 02, 2008 09:58 pm In Sonar you simply bring up the surround panner mod and go for it. I would assume Cubase should have a similar bit in it.
