And I'm the newb on the block kinda sorta -snicker- Actually the site's been a good help to me as well, particularly with my confidence. I do try to help out and answer questions now and then though if it's something I know or have experience on the subject. (usually computer related, yeah...that's right..I'm -that- kinda geek.)

Last week I told a salesman at the local computer warehouse I needed to build a 10TB-15TB RAID 5 array... he essentially asked me to leave...

Yeah, this site alone has helped (along with on hands practice) bring my mixing and mastering to a whole new level. I am far from a pro, but when local bands hear my stuff they ask where I got it done, that is music to my ears :)

Glad to hear your liking it M, it's nice to have a large audience of varying skill levels as I can ask and answer questions which feels pretty darn good.

Geoff, for sure. I've been slacking on that. Just to point out, it sounds good that I went to MN, just to hang out, but I go there for family renion every so often, and make a little time to hang with Noize (and db if he's available).

I'm glad you said it and not me. I concur though indeed.

But ya, we've had several different females here. Boys Mum was probably the first, then Michelle aka. Dragon Orchid who was a pretty long standing member. She is now up to her ears in recording in New Zealand and busy as all get out. A few others along the way but those were the two longest running members.

muzika, that is an interesting screen name I must admit. Anyway, ya coolo does some good hip hop and raps quite well in my humble opinion. Very smooth style and creative as well.

I'm kinda reserved and shy.

OK, not really I was just being mellow.

And ya, if I were to pick a sexy kinda male rap voice it would be coolo for sure.
Like I said, he has a very smooth sounding voice on a lot of his stuff.

And don't be gettin any ideas there coolo, or the rest of ya for that matter.

And coolo, you know that first disc you did is cool. The boyz and I still listen to it and enjoy it. From humble beginnings as I've always said.

otherwise known as "pansy". :-)

Myself on the other hand have little trouble telling a hot chick she's hot...at least on my own forum.

hahahahaha

actually, I can't but for some reason today I am feeling saucy...

Pansy??? Oh no, now what will the people think?

Ya whatever, Tuna was lookin over my shoulder and just about lost it. "You guys got a hot chick on HRC, way to go."

That says it all coming from him.

I try to avoid saucy lately, it just gets me in trouble.

This has got to be the first thread hijacking steered toward a hot chick though so this one will go down in HRC history, or at least be looked back on with fond memory.

Yeah, I watched that dude around the net for a while for entertainment, that young man can't cross a bridge without burning it behind him...made for some fun reading on some rap forum, on recording review and a few other sites...pretty funny stuff.

Welcome Muzika, I came across this site by accident also and found everyone really helpful no matter what the question or chat with useful tips. Here's one to deter anyone breaking in while you're away to keep your equipment safe that I heard on the radio. Simply sew two squirrels into the lining of your curtains:)

so, I might be interested muzika. however, i have to warn you, the last person that attempted to collab with me on this site, well, they sent me a bare bones beat, and I asked them a whole gang of questions, and I think they got scared off, cuz they never responded back. But he was trying to come across as mister professional, and so I tried to approach him at that level, and I don't think he was ready for it...

Anyhow, send me what you have if you want to try and collab, I'm usually up for it. Only caveat is I stay pretty busy, so it might take a little while to get to it.

im not worried im make great beats, i am worried on the other hand that u may be defeated by this beat, not because of ur skills, but because the beat is not so much of a hip hop beat persay, it has more of a pop feel,2 other rappers have already been unable to do something to it, so in other words it wouldnt be the music that would the problem ;) ...the music is there, my part is there, its just an empty space of beat for u to work ur magic...so hopefully u are better than the rest and can come up with something....Im shure you will!:)

All you have to do is convert it to an mp3.If your cubase won't do it, I'm sure you can find a .wav to .mpe converter for free. Someone might even have a link for you. But a simple search should find something. Let me know if this is not clear...

That's what they all say..... :(

Seriously though, if they are not working for ya I can do more. I just threw out a few I had been working on. Alas, we all hear things different and what works for one may not for another.

For instance, one of the bass lines I had everything worked out in my head, but when I played it with others they looked at me dumb. Then I demonstrate what I had in mind and I see the light come on.

No, I started messing with one, but was having trouble getting the drums down in time. Then I put it aside to focus on these two albums I'm trying to finish. I will be messing with it again once I finish up these albums and have the time. Hopefully by the end of this week!

i'm not sure what that's about either. try converting to mp3 and then listen on your system. If it sounds the same, then you should be good to go.
