I recorded my cousins band last year (a rough demo for their new singer to learn songs by). Anyway the drummer (high school kid) was very good with a double bass pedal. Well in my opinion. Im easily impressed because I suck on the drums. Anyway here is the drum track from one of the tunes. I did add a little of the bass guitar for flavor. You can hear a little the bleed of the guitars too. I was backing up tracks and re-visited this one. I need to listen to some of the other tunes they did before I archive them. Seems you have a bit of a taste for the heavier edge there Bushman.
just so happens, today i finished writng a newy, very heavy, also using my new guitar rig.
Have a quick squizz tell me what ya think. its only guitars and drums, im using drum loops so i obviously cant do alot of different kick patterns as you'll notice in parts where it calls for a change, but you'll get the idea. there are also a few cut n pastes in there to hurry up the process.
but with a few ideas from our drummer it should be kickn.

May 10, 2008 12:40 pm I like all music. But the speed bass drum thing is not really my taiste. I feel it distracts from the whole mix. I do like the mix (guitar wise), but if the kick was just a few well placed hits, it would add flavor !!! Do the tune with the whole speed kick mix and another with a more relaxed kick.

May 10, 2008 08:33 pm yeah, i definatley know what ya saying, unfortunatley i only really have those loops at that speed so i was kinda limited.
they kicks wont be constant like you hear there, more broken up to allow a more percussive feel with the guitars and bass. cant stand a constant double kick for long to be honest.
just cant wait to get the drums in there on single tracks so i can mix it properly. as ya now being a drum loop i can only mix guitars to suit that.
a little to fast also IMO. might come down to 190bpm...ha ha ha.
