Hi everybody!
Here's the deal....
I am looking for a nice set of headphones for monitoring my in-home recordings.
I plan on recording voice-over work such as cartoons, video games, commericals, narration...etc....
Have to use headphones on account of small space and proximity to other residents.
Can you guys recommend an affordable, budget-minded headphone ???
Was looking at Audio-technica
as a contender.
Is it reasonable to assume a good one can be bought for 100 bucks or less ?

Apr 16, 2008 09:04 pm Yes it is more then reasonable. Audio Technica has some nice ones in that range. One you might really be interested in is from AKG. In that price range they do out perform the AT ones pretty well.
I won several sets of the AKG K-240m and the K-24s. M is their monitor series and S is the studio series. Both have great sound and are open style for a bit more comfort and more natural sound. But both can be had in that price range.

Apr 17, 2008 12:11 pm At that price, I was gonna say the K240 also. If you can find em cheap, the K271 is supposed to have better isolation.

Apr 17, 2008 04:16 pm I have the AT M40fs and I really like them. Reasonable isolation and very flat response.

Apr 17, 2008 09:14 pm Ya, thanx Tripps. I completely forgot about the 271. It is still ight like the 240 and the sound pretty decent as well and it does afford a little more isolation to prevent phone bleed into the mic.
Bh has the AT model that is very comparable to the AKG units.
