Hay does anyone know how the drum triggers work , I have an elctric kit, and i was wondering if i was to put the mesh drum heads on my accustic set would i be able to put a drum trigger on that instead of waking up the neigborhood . If the triggers work on the whole vibration or impact i don't see why i would not work . The ideas a lot cheaper than buying more pads , each pad is around a 100$ and most triggers cost around 20$ or lower .

Geoff, the mesh head's are not cheap at all. I know guy's who have built their own kit's using practice pad's and putting a piezo under them near the surface. They work really great. I think if you go to Electronic Musician's website and look through the archive's of article's there is one aobut doing that.

well i was bale to try out the whole deal and the mesh practice heads were infact cheaper than buying a new drum pad , but i lucked out because one of my friends who works at GC hooked me up with two new V drums for the fraction o the price so i don't even have to tinker around with building , a little bummed and relived at the same time .

OOOOOO, I forgot about mesh practice heads. Yes, they are way cheaper then the mesh heads built for V-drum such.
