Stolen Ideas: Two New Blogs

Never one to have an original thought, I stole two perfectly good ideas from fellow HRC-ers. First, I took Tadpui's idea and have set to work writing and recording a new CD. I officially started on Feb. 5th. I'm only using songs written after that date. The second idea I stole was Beer Hunter's, and that is to document the process in a Blog:

Thanks Tadpui and Beer Hunter for allowing me to be just like you!

I also started a "Hats Off to Beer Blog", in which I collect and document all of the places that my song has turned up on the Internet. I just started that one yesterday, though, so it needs work.

If you really get bored, or want to follow the process of a genius practicing his craft (yeah, right) click on over.

ah, the hats off to beer blog is a GREAT idea...documenting all the heivery, lame excuses and developed stories around your song have been, shall we say, interesting.

Cool! Ha, Jim, no need for thanks... jeesh. I like blogging. It is kinda like soap box preaching.
Oh, you should consider signing up for adsense. I have already made a whopping $5!

Hey glad you're getting started on that CD Jim!

I've kind of stalled on my own album because of a few different factors. It's not dead in the water yet but I haven't had the time to devote to sitting in my cold, damp, dark unfinished basement in the past few weeks. I should be back to it shortly though. Sometimes you just need a break from the songs, you know? There are only so many consecutive days that you can walk around with every little nuance of your own music ricocheting around inside your head!

Oooh, purdy guitar in the video! The headstock looks Martin-esque.

I like how you've got the lyrics and history on there, that'll be a great archive of the entire process. I might have to start something like that.

Jim, you know what, I think BH WAS the first person to ever write a blog, and Tad WAS the first person to ever set off to write/record an album.... you big ole thief you....

I kid, I kid...

Anyways, I'm in the mastering stages of having my own album done. Should be done in the next couple weeks! Congrats on getting the project started though Jim. Here's to finishing it!

By the by, I was just listening to hats off to beer sunday night, along with some other old HRC stuff including an early version of Missus C and some people's stuff that no longer post here.

Yup sure was! I was the first to write a blog about ME going to school. Even to this day no one else is doing it. Go figure.

Nice Jim, I'll have a read this weekend.

The Hats off to Beer story. How an American Icon was born.

That has a good ring to it me thinks.
