Reason 3.0 + Axiom 25 + Mac Leopard

When using these tools in conjunction, Reason will not allow me to record. Also, only three or four of the Axioms drum triggers produce a sound. Channel one in the Reason rack is dedicated for my module and channel ten is dedicated to my Redrum.
I am aware of the presets, but as I scan through the 'programs' on the Axiom, it doesn't seem to make a difference which one I select. I'm a little confused... the manual is very vague and I'm kinda new to this.
