Ok, so I got the FW1884 in today, and I don't know if I'm stupid or what but I just can't get it to, uh, work.
I've read through the manual and now I'm twice as confused as I was before... help?

Mar 30, 2008 10:20 pm Soooooooo it looks like I just dropped a bunch of money on a control surface to use with an app that isn't compatible with control surfaces.
Awesome.

Mar 30, 2008 10:22 pm I'll take a look tomorrow, but I swear I read that GB can be used with a control surface.
Mar 30, 2008 10:29 pm You know, it's funny, because I swear that I read that too, and that I was told that by countless people as well.
But now I'm being told that GB + control surfaces = NO!
Mar 30, 2008 11:48 pm If you're ready for a control surface, I would think that you're software savvy enough to upgrade to a more efficient program...
But, know that's not cheap either. Ha.
Mar 31, 2008 10:38 am Yeah...I've been thinking about buying one of those M-Audio controllers to use with GarageBand, but the reviews seem to be a bit mixed. I've never heard of any other control surfaces that are designed to be used with GB. Maybe there's a reason for that?
Mar 31, 2008 11:03 am Yeah, that's interesting. I just checked, and the only MIDI controller with my version of GB is iControl (the M-Audio one). I don't own Logic, but it would be pretty cool if what that guy is saying really works!
Good find...
Mar 31, 2008 08:02 pm That's awesome, but I don't have logic express, so that doesn't really help me. BUT it's a step in the right direction, now I just need to track down what I need.
