got a new iMAC today, absolutley stoked, beefed it up to 2 gig of ram straight away.
Its my first mac and i've never used one before and im finding it very easy to use.
No annoying pop ups saying this or that, no sayin you cant do this and cant do that! Awsome screen res. 20" and alot more for the dollar compared to a lapy.
Im well chuffed.
dunno if anyone remembers me mentioning this, but for the last 6 months i've had probs with a laptop and fnally the other day...i got a total refund!!!
hard to beleive but true.
Hence the new mac.
Dont buy an Acer aspire 5670 lapy for usb interfaces. then again mine was a total lemon, maybe they not all like that. be wary though, maybe try out ya interface before you buy.

so thats my story...just had get it out there, ya know??

thats cool. but do the windows annoy you yet? i found the way mac window sizing works to be a huge turnoff.

Yeah, I hate using Mac, I hate the window functionality just like I hate Vista's...the fancy looking collapses, curls, semi-transparancy and all that crap.

Thankfully Vista has "classic" mode still...actually sped the computer up a bit switching to it too...I want a functional, stable workstation far more than I want a pretty, fancy one.

Mac is all about pretty and fancy...I find Mac no more or less usable than Windows, personally.

That being said, my personal take asside, glad you are happy with it. At the end of the day, it'll do the job for ya...and that is what matters.

those monitors can make you cry too... knew a guy who knocked a Formac one off his desk... it was 3 days old... and the warranty didn't cover the damage...

Formac?

And yeah, I wouldn't expect warranty to cover a dropped monitor :)

The 30" cinema display is just straight sexy. You can get a similar monitor cheaper of course, but the style on the mac monitors is very nice.

I'm using the 20" imac too. I love it. A few limits with software choices, but I understand that a program called "Crossover Mac" will allow you to use windows applications without much problem. Congrads and good luck!

i was finding for a while there i was putting in so much time trying to get the computer right i was bummed out and didnt feel inspired to write unknow?

I like my black Samsungs. Every bit as good a picture and they work well here. I'm not into spending that kind of money on something I can have cheaper. I do like the floating look of the clear stuff that Mac does though, that would be cool to have.

yeah im lovin it so far, gotta get it set up proper though ive posted another topic in regards to this but if anyone can guide me as to what i can do ie;
with windows you gotta turn of a whole heap of s**t to make it work smoothly, wouldnt have clue what to do to an iMAC.
Been looking around the net for stuff, havent had much luck so far.

been getting audio drop out here and there and its sounding like the audio is being played in a tunnel with a distorted kinda edge. i think its happening when i hold down the mouse button to say move the eqs around or pan.
kinda weird. something to with the mouse maybe?? or usb hub??
